Women Scientists Panel discusses climate change, sea level rise, and what participants can do to foster a more resilient future. Gate opens at 6:30pm.
Cost: $10 suggested donation
Come out for a Women Scientists Panel discussion with Dr. Tiffany Troxler, Paola Ferreira, Mariana Boldu, and Jennie Rogers. Bike or walk, or park nearby and stroll over to The Barnacle. The gate opens an hour before the program begins—plenty of time to spread out a blanket and folding chairs and enjoy a picnic with family and friends on the spacious front lawn.
Miami is on the front line of Climate Change effects and Sea Level Rise impacts. Mitigation and adaptation are both needed to tackle the challenging issues at hand. There is an unprecedented opportunity to change our professional practices in a way that fosters a more resilient future—one rooted in science, interdisciplinary team collaboration, and strategic partnerships.
This course is designed to empower participants with tools to facilitate this change and undertake positive action toward reversing climate projections; craft a common, resilient way into the future; and influence others to do the same.
