COCONUT GROVE – Enjoy a night out with your pets at The Barnacle Historic State Park, 3485 Main Highway, Coconut Grove, Florida 33133. Join us with your well-behaved pups for Barkyard Theatre at The Barnacle Sunday october 10, 2021. Gates open at 7 p.m. EST for pre-movie activities including a 1950s-themed costume contest for prizes! The classic film “Grease” starring John Travolta and Olivia Newton John starts at 8 p.m. EST. Tickets are $20 general admission, $10 for children under 10, and each person may bring a maximum of two dogs with them. Seats are limited for this event, so make sure to purchase your tickets quickly as they will sell out! Tickets are available on Eventbrite.com https://bit.ly/3hIcYRL. All ticket sales are final. No refunds will be issued. All proceeds go to rebuilding the coral rock wall at the park that was damaged by Hurricane Irma.
Park in the neighborhood and follow The Barnacle’s nature trail to the front lawn for open seating on the grass. Blankets and lawn chairs are welcome, and a limited number of chairs will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Tasty treats will be available for purchase from the concession.
This is a safe and family-friendly event presented by The Barnacle Society and Equipaws Pet Services. Attendees must sign a dog waiver, and all dogs must remain on leashes while in the park. Leashes must be hand-held and be no longer than 6 feet. Pet parents are responsible for picking up after their fur babies; Equipaws Pet Services will provide biodegradable poop bags. Dogs must have current rabies vaccination and license (tag on collar) and be well-behaved, i.e. no excessive barking or aggressive behavior. Aggressive dogs may be asked to leave.
